Evolution releases its Robot Developer Kit
Evolution Robotics has begun to ship a Robot Developer Kit (RDK), a complete set of tools, hardware, software and electronic components allowing the creation of robotic prototypes.
The kit includes a control module, nine infrared sensors, bump sensors, a USB camera, a microphone, two motors, and modular aluminium and plastic components and chassis, and comes with the Evolution Robotics Software Platform, developer tools, APIs and documentation.
More comprehensive than previous products released earlier this year, Evolution's RDK has notably "a customizable personality module that will enable developers to create unique personalities and digital characters to enhance the user interface of their robots".
The kit is available in different versions, with prices ranging from $1495 to $9995.
